"The Point" is our Regular Friday outreach programs for the youths from the surrounding schools. It was started in June 2008 and some 15 youths have been participating in the program regularly since.
The youths would enjoy themselves with board games, table tennis, music jamming, movies watching, video gaming, etc. Through this interaction with the youths, our volunteers and staff could come alongside them and help them with their problems sometimes. also, some kind of informal coaching on studies took place when some of the youths requested for it. In addition, a few motivational talks were conducted to enhance the program. Of late, a scheme was introduced to encourage ownership and leadership among the youths. Some of them were roped in to manage the facilities and parts of the Friday programs. The respond was good and the youths rose up to the occasion! This program is a healthy activity for the youths and we hope to see further enterprising development to it. The vision is to provide a wholesome outreach to the youths, with the aim of impacting them with good values activities.
